15 July 2009

Two of this year’s CAP Athletes had the very special opportunity of a visit to London to take a look at the Olympic Park Site for the 2012 Olympics, and to meet the Prime Minister at Ten Downing Street. The two athletes: Jamie Blundell and Mark O’Kane were both chosen by Geofferey Robinson MP for Coventry North West.

Both Jamie and Mark had an enjoyable day, which included a tour of the Olympic Site, followed by lunch and an opportunity to meet Tessa Jowell Minister for the Olympics. They then moved on to 10 Downing Street where they met the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

It was a fantastic opportunity for both athletes; which highlights their potential as well as the success and reputation of the CAP scheme.
