Why not join the 10,000 people already registered as a Sport Maker and become a part of the official Olympic and Paralympics legacy?
The Sport Makers programme uses the inspirational pull of London 2012 to recruit thousands of NEW Sport Makers, with the aim to help make sport happen across the country, bringing the Olympic and Paralympic values to life in every community.
CSW Sport are looking for people 16 years and over to either help and encourage friends and colleagues to play sport or volunteer in clubs and communities.
It could be something as simple as rounding up your friends to play a regular game of tennis, get down to zumba sessions or help out at your local club.
Sport Maker of the Year Award 2012
In June 2012, Sport England will be holding the Sport Maker and Sportivate project of the Year Awards. The awards have a Sport Makers category, seeking to celebrate the individuals who are organising sport informally for themselves and their friends, colleagues or neighbours.
As part of the London 2012 Ticketshare Scheme, the awards event will recognise the three most outstanding Sport Makers nationally by giving them a pair of tickets to the London 2012 Olympic Games (see below for more information). Travel expenses to the Games will be covered.
CSW Sport can nominate one Sport Maker within Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire, so for this reason we are asking all local Sport Makers to apply and a panel will decide the Sport Maker CSW Sport will nominate for these awards.

What kind of things can you do as a Sport Maker?
One of the first to register their interest in Sport Makers via the Sport Makers website www.sportmakers.co.uk was 41-year-old Alison Insley from Kenilworth.
She said: The Sport Makers programme looks fantastic, I was inspired by it and thought it was a great way of encouraging new people as well as those already involved to help deliver more sport.
I have pledged to be involved and I think anyone with an interest in sport can take part regardless of age, race, ability or religion.
I really enjoyed the launch event and particularly hearing from Bryan Steele, seeing his medals and hearing his story about how volunteers had helped him to represent Great Britain.
Below are a range of Sport Maker pledges people from across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire have made:
"I pledge to support and develop a new running/jogging group"
