Legacy assured for London 2012 Database

Sport England has helped to secure a key element of the 2012 digital legacy today as LOCOG announced that it would be handing over its customer database to Sport England working in partnership with UK Sport and London & Partners.

Government announces CSC review

Sport England welcomes today’s Government announcement of a change to the rules on Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that will allow clubs to offer junior memberships without voting rights and still qualify as a CASC.

The Government has also announced plans to hold a public consultation in the spring to review the qualifying conditions needed for sports clubs to become CASCs, including the level of membership fees, social income, travel expenses and payment to players.

‘Trot to be Trim’

The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) is delighted to announce its new health and fitness campaign. This new initiative has been designed to meet the rise in demand from the public to get involved. More and more people are getting involved through Hoof – the BEF’s legacy campaign which aims to provide user friendly and easy pathways to increase participation in horse riding.  Trot to be Trim promotes the many health and well being benefits long associated with riding and being involved with horses.

Coventry Community Cohesion Awards 2013

For the fourth year running, projects from across the private, public, voluntary, community and young people's sectors are being given the opportunity to enter the Community Cohesion Awards run in collaboration between Coventry Partnership and the Coventry Ethnic Minority Action Partnership.

The deadline for applications is 19th April 2013.
